To the Data Science Community:
Welcome to the Input | Output blog!
The mission of the NIH Office of the Associate Director for Data Science (ADDS) is to foster an ecosystem that enables biomedical research to be conducted as a digital enterprise that enhances health, lengthens life, and reduces illness and disability. The ADDS leads the development of the overall NIH vision in data science and coordinates across the 27 institutes and centers in support of a data science rich biomedical research environment. ADDS initiatives are structured around the five programmatic themes of sustainability, education, innovation, process, and collaboration.
Involvement and interaction within the biomedical data science community is central to our goal to accelerate the growth of an integral data science ecosystem in support of biomedical discovery. This blog is a vital part of the communications products that we will be launching in the coming months. It is intended to serve as a news and discussion vehicle for the overall community and is an opportunity for the ADDS to present timely information and receive important feedback. As we intend this to be a community-wide endeavor, we especially welcome guest posts and topic suggestions. We hope that you will share this blog with your colleagues and help us to expand the community.
