Data Scientist

Portfolio Analysis and Evaluation Branch (PAEB) at National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), located in the Office of Planning, Analytics & Evaluation (OPAE) within the Office of Management, seeks an experienced data scientist with an understanding of the NIH extramural research administration and procedures. The selected individual will have a strong interest and background in quantitative analysis methods that support data-driven decision making, and be familiar with internal NIH processes, programs, and data systems (i.e., IMPACII IRDB). The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting wide-ranging data science and analysis-oriented projects. They should have experience in programming (e.g., SAS and SQL ). Ideally, expertise will include demonstrated experience writing SAS code to analyze large data sets (e.g. using R, Python, QlikSense, SAS, SQL, Oracle, Tableau etc.).
