Event Description
This one-hour online class will provide an introduction to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and suggest practical methods to get started using APIs available for the Web of Science (WoS) platform. An API allows two computer programs to communicate with each other. The instructor will walk through API use cases for Clarivate platform data calls and perform technical demonstrations using Postman API client.
By the end of this training, attendees will be able to:
- Define APIs
- Identify API use cases (data integration based and project based)
- Describe how to use WoS APIs
- Identify API licenses available to NIH Library users
Attendees are not expected to have any prior knowledge of APIs to be successful in this training.
