Breakout Session on "Addressing Oversight, Governance, and Privacy Issues in Linking Controlled Access Data from Different Resources"

Wednesday, July 28, 2021

July 28, 3 to 5:30 p.m.

This webinar will focus on assessing the extent to which increased interoperability of controlled-access repositories may lead inadvertently to gaps in oversight and control, including explicit consideration of re-identification risk escalation. These issues will be critical to address in the reality of an increasingly expanding and interoperable data ecosystem so that this wealth of knowledge can be utilized effectively to drive science forward while still maintaining the respect for, and consistency with, original participant consents.

This webinar is a breakout session for the Webinar on Streamlining Access to Controlled Data at NIH: Tackling Challenges and Identifying Opportunities. Learn more about Streamlining Access to Controlled Data at the NIH.
